Yahoo Japan (Real-time News) - On June 23, 2024, at 12:45 AM, an earthquake with an estimated magnitude of 4.9 struck off the coast of Fukushima Prefecture around 12:12 PM. The maximum intensity of 4 was observed in Fukushima Prefecture, posing no tsunami threat. According to NHK, the Japan Meteorological Agency reported the earthquake's epicenter was offshore Fukushima Prefecture at a depth of about 50 kilometers.
