According to a report by the Fire and Disaster Management Agency of Japan, a total of 1484 people nationwide were rushed to hospitals due to heatstroke from June 17 to 23. Additionally, the Meteorological Agency warned that temperatures in Japan from July to September may be higher than usual, urging the public to guard against heatstroke. Despite a decrease of around 1000 cases compared to the previous week, last week saw one death and 35 severe cases of heatstroke, mainly affecting the elderly population. The agency advised taking appropriate measures such as using air conditioning and not enduring the heat. Furthermore, the long-term forecast for July to September indicates higher temperatures with the possibility of typhoons affecting Japan.
