After the blue and white coalition in the legislature rejected the reconsideration of the parliamentary empowerment, President Lai Ching-te announced the amendment of the 'Legislative Yuan Exercise of Powers Act' today in order to protect constitutional order and people's rights by applying for constitutional interpretation and temporary disposition. DPP legislator Huang Chieh criticized the blue and white camp as 'law blind,' stating that in the battle of constitutional interpretation, when the tide retreats, you know who is not wearing pants. With democracy being trampled upon, Huang expressed anger and emphasized the importance of safeguarding Taiwan amidst a constitutional crisis and as a time for people to take action.
