On June 10, 2024, Wanhua police solved a murder case where a tenant, owing 20,000 rent, gruesomely killed the landlord by chopping him with a knife, leading to exposed organs and a horrific death. The body examination revealed severe injuries to the face, hands, and a fractured skull. The suspect, Chen, was apprehended in Hsinchu City. Chen attacked the landlord, Yan, in a fit of rage during a negotiation over overdue rent, resulting in multiple fatal wounds.
