After TV commentator Zhang Yu-shao accused Kuomintang lawmaker Lo Chih-chiang of requesting Yen Wei to carry his briefcase publicly, Lo filed a lawsuit against Zhang for damages and demanded a 300,000 NTD compensation as well as the full judgment to be published on Zhang's Facebook within 7 days. Taipei District Court ruled in the first instance that Zhang should pay 100,000 NTD and has the right to appeal. The court found that Zhang's claims were unfounded and constituted defamation against Lo. Yen Wei denied the accusation and the court rejected the request for the full text of the judgment to be posted on Zhang's Facebook.
