A recent fire incident in New Taipei City on June 13, 2024, revealed that it was caused by a lithium battery. Experts suggest choosing reputable brands to prevent lithium batteries from catching fire, avoiding charging multiple lithium batteries on one power line simultaneously. In case of lithium battery smoking, quickly move it to an open area or submerge it in water. If it is already overheating and on fire, remove nearby flammable materials, use plenty of water and fire extinguishers to cool it down, and call emergency services if the fire is out of control.
