While passing by and borrowing a restroom, a man was unexpectedly attacked by strangers near the Bitan Scenic Area in New Taipei City. The incident led to the authorities detaining the assailant who claimed to be in a bad mood, resulting in the assault. The victim's female friend, who was also injured while trying to intervene, has pressed charges for assault. The group responsible for the attack had been drinking and singing at a restaurant, then randomly targeted passersby after their gathering, causing injuries to the victim and his friend.
