A man surnamed Huang, along with two accomplices, attacked a man surnamed Wu with a baseball bat and a knife in Sanchong District, New Taipei City, in the early hours of the 2nd. The victim's girlfriend was frightened on the scene. Wu owed Huang 1000 NT but delayed repayment. During negotiations, Wu taunted the debtor, triggering Huang and his associates to viciously attack Wu. The police arrived quickly and applied pressure to stop the bleeding before sending Wu to the hospital. Huang confessed that the attack was due to a debt dispute and feeling provoked by Wu's taunts.
