In New Taipei City's Xindian district, a man named Huang, after being refused service at a convenience store due to a damaged and wet one-thousand-dollar banknote, unleashed a violent outburst, shouting and damaging store items. Despite police intervention, he refused to cooperate and was eventually handcuffed and taken to the police station. Huang persistently resisted and used offensive language, necessitating multiple officers to subdue him. The incident began when the man attempted to make a purchase with the damaged banknote, leading to a confrontation with store staff. The store expressed reluctance to press charges at the time, and Huang was taken home by family members after spending five hours in custody.
