In the early hours of June 23rd, a 38-year-old man surnamed Zhong parked his McLaren illegally on a street in Taichung City's West District. Police discovered Zhong reeked of alcohol but he refused a breathalyzer test, resulting in an NT$180,600 fine for illegal parking and refusal to cooperate. After waiting for 3 hours, Zhong left, leaving the towing operation for the police. When he finally returned with the key around noon, the car was successfully towed. Zhong denied claims of causing traffic disturbance by leaving the scene without moving the car, stating he had waited for 3 hours and had followed police instructions. Taichung Police emphasized the importance of cracking down on drunk driving and advised citizens to follow traffic rules and not drive under the influence.
