Taipei—The Central Weather Bureau continues to issue high temperature alerts due to the influence of southwest winds, with extreme temperatures expected in various regions of Taiwan. Taitung County is under an orange alert with a probability of 38 degrees Celsius extreme heat. Other areas including Taipei City, Taoyuan City, and more are under orange alerts for continuous 36-degree heat. The public is advised to avoid unnecessary outdoor activities, stay hydrated, and take precautions against heat injuries.
