On June 16, 2024, during the 100th-anniversary celebration of the Military Academy in Taiwan, a video circulated claiming that four military flags were not lowered during the event, implying a lack of saluting to the president. However, the flags in question belonged to civilian groups and alumni associations, not actual military flags. The individuals carrying these flags were alumni and veterans, not actively serving military personnel. The spread of this information led to misunderstanding and misinterpretation of the event.
