On the first day of the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, a large number of people went out to play, causing the Fu Gang Fishing Port in Taitung to be packed with a large number of passengers, with ferries to Green Island and Orchid Island almost fully booked, transporting an estimated 6,000 people. The Nanliao Fishing Port on Green Island also saw a surge in crowds. Many people took advantage of this last consecutive holiday this year, with Fu Gang Fishing Port crowded with tourists in the early morning, many carrying luggage preparing to travel to Green Island and Orchid Island or return to their hometowns on the islands. Due to the overwhelming number of people boarding ships, the Coast Guard's galley at the Gangkou Safety Inspection Office also increased manpower, with 14 trips to Green Island and 6 to Orchid Island almost fully booked, estimating a transport of 6,000 people. Apart from Green Island and Orchid Island, Kenting and Xiaoliuqiu also saw a significant influx of people, with ferry operators predicting over 10,000 island visitors on the first day of the holiday, the busiest day in terms of crowds during this consecutive holiday period. Extra ferry trips will depart every 20-30 minutes to relieve the queuing crowd. Many tourists also planned to visit Xiaoliuqiu during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday.
