New Taipei City's labor inspection department initiated a 'Summer Heat Hazard and Air Conditioning Operation Special Inspection' at the beginning of June, having inspected 35 companies by June 30. Out of these, 20 were found to be in violation, with nearly 60% failing to implement heat hazard prevention measures, such as not taking actions to reduce temperatures on-site. With rising temperatures, outdoor workers and delivery workers face increased heat hazard risks, while air conditioning installation personnel are prone to fall and electric shock hazards. Employers are urged to comply with safety regulations to prevent heat-related illnesses and workplace accidents, with penalties ranging from 3 to 30 thousand New Taiwan Dollars for violations.
