New Taipei Indigenous Language and Culture Camp Commences with Amis Hip-Hop Rap Class Standing Out

New Taipei City Government's Indigenous Affairs Department's summer Indigenous language and culture camp is now open! Four sessions are available for elementary school students in grades 3 to junior high school grade 9. The first session from July 3 to July 5 at Ruibin Elementary School in Ruifang District offers a diverse range of Indigenous language courses, with the Amis hip-hop rap class being particularly popular. This year, the camp uniquely integrates language and rap, led by music producer Dac Zhang Fanyu from the U.S. and Amis language teacher Lin Yumei, providing a fun and educational experience for the students.
