The civilian group 'Mountain and Sea Citizen Demolition Action' has launched the second phase of the recall petition against Keelung City Mayor Hsieh Kuo-Liang, receiving over 20,000 signatures so far. The spokesperson mentioned that reaching the threshold of 37,920 signatures should not be a problem, and they plan to invite key opinion leaders and influencers for public speeches in the city on June 22 and 23 before submitting the petition for review by the Keelung City Election Commission by July 5. The government spokesperson emphasized that the city government remains focused on municipal administration despite external influences, while the law requires a minimum of 37,920 signatures for the recall, with July 8 being the last day for submission in the second phase.
