In Taipei, police officers caught a scammer withdrawing cash from an ATM late at night by questioning his suspicious behavior. The scammer claimed to be withdrawing money for shopping, but his story was debunked by the police on the spot, leading to his arrest. The police confiscated over NT$130,000 in cash, 13 bank cards, 2 smartphones, and 1 card reader, and the scammer was arrested and investigated for money laundering and fraud. The police remind the public to beware of scam groups and not fall for promises of easy money through illegal activities.
