Reported 8 months ago

The Criminal Investigation Bureau's Central Crime Fighting Center, led by officers He Guanyi and Shi Xieyuan, along with Wu Junwei, raided an online gambling operation in a commercial building in Taichung, discovering hundreds of bullets on site, suspecting the involvement of other illegal activities. A mahjong association in Tucheng, New Taipei City, was also found to be a professional gambling den, resulting in the arrest of 37 operators and gamblers who had to be transported back to the police station by bus. The operation involved heavily armed special tactics unit members breaking into the office, revealing a large amount of cash and neatly arranged bullets on tables, part of the online gambling setup that included baccarat, slot machines, and sports betting with estimated bets totaling at least 230 million NTD.
