Taoyuan City Government is organizing the first Crispy Roast Pork Festival this year to promote high-quality black pork from Taoyuan. The event includes a competition open for registration until July 31. Taoyuan, known for breeding the most black-hair pigs in northern Taiwan, emphasizes the tender and juicy quality of black pork compared to regular pork. The festival aims to enhance the local crispy roast pork industry by combining efforts from government, academia, and the industry. Winners of the competition will receive cash prizes, and there are plans for an upcoming Crispy Roast Pork Championship and Carnival event in October with renowned judges to elevate awareness and elevate Taoyuan's crispy roast pork internationally.
