Reported about 1 year ago
In Taipei's Xinyi district, a Japanese gym established five years ago suddenly closed without warning in early July, leaving many paying members surprised and unable to get refunds. Former staff members revealed instances of unjust dismissals and pay cuts. Consumer protection officials are investigating while the gym promises fee refunds and labor disputes will be handled by the labor bureau. With both sides at odds, legal intervention is imminent to determine the rights of gym members and staff.
