Raid on Illegal Gambling: Taipei Songshan Police Raid 2 Professional Casinos, Seize Chips Worth Millions

Taipei City's Songshan Police Division cracked down on professional gambling establishments, raiding 2 large-scale underground casinos within two weeks. The first raid on June 11 resulted in the discovery of a Texas Hold'em professional casino in a building on Fuxing North Road, leading to the arrest of the manager, employees, and 27 customers, along with the confiscation of over 11 million in chips and other related evidence. The second raid on June 26 uncovered a Baccarat casino in a residential building on Keelung Road, resulting in the arrest of the operator, employees, and 14 customers, along with the seizure of 24 million in chips and gambling tools. The police emphasized the harmful impact of gambling on individuals and society, stressing their commitment to continue cracking down on professional gambling establishments to enhance public safety.
