As the stink bug population in Japan surges, with numbers even reaching 80 times that of the previous year, areas like Tokyo, Osaka, and Kanagawa are affected, and Ehime Prefecture faces a serious 'bug crisis'. The stink bugs, known for emitting a foul smell and sucking blood, are wreaking havoc on crops. The Ehime Prefecture government issued a stink bug alert as the bugs, also called brown marmorated stink bugs, have damaged agricultural products like loquats, leading to significant losses for farmers.
