As temperatures soar and set new records, outdoor workers and delivery personnel face increased heat-related risks, while air conditioning installers often encounter risks such as falls and electric shocks. If materials or components fall, it could also jeopardize the safety of pedestrians. To ensure employers implement heat hazard protection and air conditioning operation safety regulations, the New Taipei City Labor Inspection Office has launched the 'Summer Heat Hazard and Air Conditioning Operations Special Inspection' in early June, aiming to promote 'A Safe Summer' for laborers and citizens. Labor Bureau Director Chen Ruijia emphasized the high-risk nature of heat-related diseases like heat exhaustion, heat cramps, or heatstroke among summer outdoor workers. Employers should follow the 'Occupational Safety and Health Facility Regulations' to implement cooling, rest, and hydration measures to prevent heat-related diseases. Delivery personnel should prioritize rest, hydration, and sun protection to avoid prolonged work in high temperatures. Furthermore, air conditioning installers often work on the exterior walls of buildings, facing risks of occupational accidents if safety precautions are not taken. Therefore, through special inspections, employers are required to implement various safety measures.
