Oklo, a nuclear startup backed by Sam Altman, has secured a major contract to supply 100MW of nuclear power to data center company Wyoming Hyperscale. The deal, outlined in a non-binding letter of intent lasting 10 years, caused Oklo's shares to surge more than 30% in trading. This agreement follows a previous deal with Equinix for up to 500MW of power. Oklo's CEO stated their commitment to providing clean energy solutions for data centers, while Wyoming Hyperscale aims to create environmentally friendly operations. The company's mission is to deploy next-generation fast reactor technology for clean and affordable energy globally, supported by investors like Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates.
