Legislators Lin Tai-hua and Li Kun-cheng, along with representatives from various sectors, urge the Ministry of Agriculture to draft plans for establishing a 'national non-profit dog and cat blood bank'. They emphasize that a systematic and regulated approach can not only save more pet lives but also cultivate social awareness of non-profit initiatives and promote harmonious coexistence between humans and animals. Deputy Speaker of the Legislature Chang Chi-chung, along with other legislators, expressed their support for the initiative. The legislators aim to address the lack of a non-profit blood supply network in the veterinary healthcare sector, especially for emergencies, by urging the government to support the establishment of a well-regulated blood bank to benefit more furry friends in need.
