National Taitung High School advised students to wear socks while swimming due to sedimentation at the pool bottom, with the Sports Administration of the Ministry of Education arranging for experts to assess the situation and assist in developing improvement plans. The Ministry allocated a budget of 90 million NT dollars for pool renovations and equipment purchases under the 113th year 'Strengthening School Physical Activities and Teaching Development' budget, with 51 schools applying for subsidies. Taitung High School's plan to upgrade filtration systems and sunshade nets did not address the safety issues posed by the sedimentation, leading to prioritization of funding for more urgent safety concerns in other schools during the current year.
