According to statistics from the Ministry of Finance, Taiwan currently has 8,968 pet stores, which is 475 more than the previous year, with sales reaching NT$14.19 billion in the first four months of this year. The trend of opening pet stores in residential areas has sparked discussions, highlighting the endless business opportunities in the pet industry under the context of declining birth rates. However, different types of businesses face different restrictions when opening stores, such as location selection considerations provided by the Taiwan Housing Group Trend Center. Issues such as zoning regulations, compliance with building codes, and community rules are emphasized to avoid disputes and legal complications.
