A major shooting incident occurred in Tainan City this morning where Lin Shijie, the father of DPP Tainan City Councilor Lin Yiting, was shot multiple times in front of his home in the southern district and succumbed to his injuries at Chi Mei Hospital. Lin Shijie, the chairman of the Tainan City Fishermen's Association, had strong connections in the political and business sectors. Police discovered 11 bullet shells at the scene, suspecting a single shooter and are currently tracing a suspicious car. Tainan City Mayor Huang Weizhe has urged the police to fully investigate the case.
