Thai Streamer 'Live Streaming at Tiananmen' Draws Attention from Chinese Authorities... Shocked: They Copied All My Documents

Reported 8 months ago

Justketh, an IRL streamer from Thailand, traveled to China recently and visited various landmarks, including Tiananmen Square. However, after live streaming for about 12 minutes, she was surrounded by Chinese authorities who conducted a search, requesting her to shut down the stream and show personal documents. Justketh's stream was interrupted for about 20 minutes, and when it resumed, she had left Tiananmen Square, explaining to viewers what had happened. The authorities mentioned that she needed permission to stream, took photos of her passport, and checked her Twitch channel and name, despite her language barrier. Some viewers in the chat room found the incident sensitive due to the square's historical significance as the site of the 'June 4th Incident'.
