Regarding the parliamentary authority amendment reconsideration case proposed by the Executive Yuan and rejected by the Legislative Yuan on June 21, 2024, at 4:22 am, Prime Minister Johnny Chiang stated that they would seek relief from constitutional institutions through internal negotiations. Despite efforts and discussions over two days, they were unable to persuade a majority of committee members in the parliament to support the reconsideration case and Chiang expressed the need for further efforts. He plans to consult Legislative Speaker Han Kuo-yu again to reflect on the experience and emphasize the importance of thorough review and democratic process in passing laws and bills in the future, aiming for results that truly align with democratic procedures for smooth governance by the Executive Yuan.
