Reported about 1 year ago
An altercation arose when a woman occupied a love seat at a high-speed rail station in Taipei by placing her belongings on it, preventing other passengers from sitting. When confronted, she argued that there were no laws prohibiting it and eventually removed her items to give the seat to others. A Hong Kong tourist who intervened was insulted by the woman. Scenarios like this often result in only verbal admonishment by railway staff. Similar incidents have also been reported in other locations, such as the Xinyi District Bus Transfer Station.
