During this European trip, despite Mom having no interest in art museums, she still accompanied me to visit several, with the longest schedule being the Uffizi Gallery. Here's a tip for visiting the Uffizi Gallery: as there's no Chinese guide currently available, I downloaded the Sanmao tour guide app on my phone, providing Chinese guidance for major European attractions all in one place, making it more enjoyable for Mom. After visiting the Uffizi Gallery, I immediately brought Mom to Florence's famous Affogato cafe, Vivoli Il Gelato, founded by Raffaello Vivoli, who initially started as a small shop offering coffee and pastries in 1932. With the popularity of ice cream, the Vivoli family began making and selling artisanal gelato, becoming renowned in Florence for its quality and innovative flavors. Particularly famous is their Affogato, a cup with vanilla ice cream rimming the edge, topped with a shot of espresso, attracting tourists daily. During this trip with Mom, we discovered an advantage at the bustling Vivoli Il Gelato where Mom quickly got a seat, making it her second favorite coffee spot.
