On June 30, 2024, at 3:29 pm, a motorcycle intruded onto the east line of the TRA Nuannuan Station and was hit by the moving 432nd EMU3000 series New Taroko Express. The accident caused the motorcycle to be flung onto the west line, injuring the rider. Footage of the impact moment was subsequently exposed. The injured rider was promptly brought up to the platform, and the scene was shared on a Facebook group. This incident resulted in delayed trains, with the TRA sounding an emergency alarm and railway police handling the scene. The injured man was sent to the Bayu Mining Hospital, and investigations continue regarding the dangerous public action.
