On June 24, 2024, at 4:15 a.m., a 23-year-old driver surnamed Tang from a fraud gang in Kaohsiung was arrested on the spot by the police, who seized receipts, and a mobile phone as evidence. A 64-year-old grandfather from Kaohsiung invested 230,000 yuan in virtual currency but could not withdraw it. He complained to his grandson, who suspected a scam and decided to trick the scammers back by pretending to be his grandfather and promising a 1 million yuan investment, arranging a face-to-face meeting. The clever grandson also reported to the police, leading to the driver surnamed Tang getting caught red-handed by the police during the meeting. After investigation, Tang was prosecuted for fraud and money laundering prevention. The grandson's act of revenge was a success with the help of the police.
