A 46-year-old man, Mr. Fan, was involved in a bike accident recently and was rushed to Taipei Tzu Chi Hospital for emergency treatment. Despite no obvious external injuries, the impact caused swelling and bruising around his eyes, leading to a visible double vision when looking down. A CT scan revealed a fractured left orbital bone, causing the eyeball to shift downwards. Through an innovative surgery using endoscopy and navigation systems, the doctor successfully repaired the fracture without leaving any visible scars on the face, resolving the double vision issue. This modern surgical approach involves entering through the patient's oral cavity to precisely fix the fractured orbital bone and replace it with artificial bone, supporting the eyeball and soft tissues. This advanced method ensures accurate realignment and long-term vision preservation, applicable to single-side orbital fractures for individuals experiencing facial trauma.

Three News Network reported on June 26, 2024, that Chinese state media have been closely monitoring Taiwanese television political talk shows, participating heavily in themes and scripts. Not only that, Xinhua News Agency journalists have been present during recordings to confirm the programs meet the requirements of the Chinese Taiwan Affairs Office. The National Communications Commission (NCC) responded by demanding a response from the Broadcasting Development Foundation of Taiwan, stating that if any TV station is found to have violated regulations, they could face fines up to 2 million NTD and have the program suspended. Legal expert Huang Diying mentioned that even though Taiwan does not have a 'Foreign Agents Registration Act,' Chinese journalists engaging in activities different from their approved entry purposes could have their entry permits revoked and be immediately expelled. The Chinese Taiwan Affairs Office spokesperson Zhu Fenglian dismissed the reports as 'completely fake news and pure rumors.' Taiwan stands firm against Chinese journalists monitoring its television programs, showing zero tolerance for Chinese infiltration, while US practices have already exposed the issue and warned about it 7 years ago in US Congress. The US-China Economic and Security Review Commission's 2017 annual report pointed out Chinese state media's involvement in espionage and propaganda activities, suggesting that Chinese state media in the US register as foreign agents under the Foreign Agents Registration Act, monitored for financial transactions and personnel. The US FBI has been diligently investigating and prosecuting individuals involved in illegal activities as Chinese agents, demanding their immediate expulsion. Despite Taiwan not having a 'Foreign Agents Registration Act,' Huang urged that Chinese journalists engaging in unauthorized activities have their entry permits revoked and are promptly expelled. During a routine press conference, the Chinese Taiwan Affairs Office spokesperson Zhu Fenglian criticized Taiwan for maliciously attacking mainland China. Zhu accused the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) authorities of manipulating green media to deceive and divide Taiwan's society, inciting animosity between Taiwan and mainland China, wrongly accusing and intimidating different media stances, creating a 'Green Terror,' infringing on the legitimate rights of Taiwanese people, severely harming their interests and welfare, and harming the development of cross-strait relations.
