On June 9, 2024, a New Japan Airlines aircraft deviated from its path and collided with a tree in Kagoshima, injuring 2 people. The incident involved a four-seater small passenger plane landing at Kagoshima Airport when it veered off course and struck trees about 2 kilometers away. Fortunately, there were no major casualties.
