Cerebras, a startup that recently filed for an IPO, is posing a challenge to Nvidia's dominance in the AI chip market with its massive wafer-scale engine chips, which are significantly larger and more powerful than Nvidia's GPUs. Founded in 2016, Cerebras has experienced a tremendous revenue spike, largely due to major contracts with clients like G42. However, the company faces risks including high customer concentration, particularly its reliance on G42 for a large share of sales, which could be problematic if relations sour.
