Tech mogul and Tesla founder Elon Musk stated that the right-wing populist party Alternative for Germany (AfD) did not have extreme positions, following the European Parliament elections. AfD became the second-largest political force in Germany after CDU/CSU, even winning the Brandenburg local elections. Although AfD is considered an extremist organization in some states, including Brandenburg, where Tesla has its European factory, Musk's political views align with the American right-wing. He has criticized the alleged racism against white people in the US and claimed that Biden's Democratic Party supports illegal immigration to win elections. Musk had expressed hopes for AfD's success in the European Parliament elections last fall. (Source: Deutsche Welle, Reuters) © 2024 Deutsche Welle - All rights reserved.
