Novoloop Advances Toward Production of Upcycled Plastic

Reported about 8 hours ago

Novoloop, a plastic recycling startup, has secured a deal with Huide Science and Technology to commercially produce its upcycled thermoplastic polyurethane. This agreement is crucial for Novoloop, as many climate tech startups struggle during the transition from initial technology proof to generating revenue. The startup transforms post-consumer polyethylene waste into a chemical building block for TPU, which is widely used in products like footwear and medical devices. Novoloop plans to ramp up its production capabilities and aims to have a commercial plant operational by early 2028.
