A recent report from Breaking Defense highlighted that the Oregon Air National Guard's 142nd Wing received the first F-15EX fighter jet equipped with advanced electronic warfare systems, enhancing the US homeland defense capabilities. The new F-15EX, designated as 'EX8' and manufactured by Boeing, arrived in Portland, Oregon on June 5th, marking the beginning of strengthening the unit's air defense interception capabilities. With a total of 18 F-15EX jets scheduled for delivery, the 142nd Wing is set to gradually replace its current F-15C/D fleet and become the first operational unit in the US to operate the F-15EX model.
