PwC released the latest '2024 Hopes and Fears Survey' on June 25, 2024, which surveyed 56,600 employees in 50 countries and regions. The survey showed that globally 49% and in Taiwan 36% of employees expect generative AI to help increase salaries. Employees who use generative AI daily believe even more strongly, with over 70% expecting a salary increase. However, the survey also indicated a trend of employees focusing on self-development and considering leaving their current companies, marking the third year of the global 'Great Resignation'. Approximately 28% of respondents are 'highly likely' to leave their current company, higher than in 2023 and 2022. The report also highlighted that as workloads increase, employees are using generative AI to boost efficiency, with 82% globally and 90% in Taiwan expecting significant efficiency improvements, and over 70% of respondents globally and in Taiwan believing generative AI will enhance creativity and increase salaries.
