A netizen in Taipei asked where they could sleep and enjoy air conditioning without having to rent a place due to the increasing housing prices and rents in the city. Suggestions from other netizens included internet cafes with private booths, cooling off in parks at night, capsule hotels, libraries, and even 24-hour saunas where one can lie flat, sleep, enjoy air conditioning, and bathe for a monthly fee. Other ideas included investing in a portable air cooler, industrial fan, using ice packs, cold showers before bed, and sleeping with a fan blowing over ice cubes and salt. Lastly, a unique suggestion was from someone who stored all belongings in their car, rented a place in Taipei to sleep in a sauna, and visited home once a week to do laundry.
