Xie Xinying recently made her first public appearance 8 days after her boyfriend, Wang Baijie, was arrested for drunk driving in her car. Wang Baijie claimed he had been drinking the night before and didn't realize the alcohol hadn't fully metabolized. Xie Xinying clarified that he truly hadn't been drinking that day and believes further explanations may seem like excuses. She didn't express anger towards him and humorously mentioned they wouldn't be praying for safe driving as 'there's no car left!'
