Five young men drove to the remote area of Liuxi Village in Baihe, Tainan City in search of a hidden waterfall. However, heavy rain caused the creek water to rise rapidly, trapping them on the creek bed. The Tainan City Fire Department dispatched 8 vehicles, 1 boat, and 14 personnel for the rescue operation. The men, aged between 20 and 30, were eventually guided to safety by climbing up the opposite bank with the help of the fire department. Luckily, all five men were successfully rescued and brought back to safety.

Following outstanding performances in the 113th National Junior Games and Student Sports Leagues, the Taipei City Government has decided to award a total of NT$41.6 million in sports bonuses to support excellent coaches and athletes so they can continue training and bring honor to Taipei. Notably, the Taipei City delegation won 110 gold, 110 silver, and 122 bronze medals in the 113th National Junior Games, with 32 gold medals in cycling competitions. Mayor Lu Shiow-yen instructed the Education Bureau to disburse over NT$35 million in sports bonuses, with additional bonuses for schools producing top results. In addition to the National Junior Games, Taipei school sports teams excelled in student volleyball, softball, soccer, and baseball leagues, winning 5 championships, 2 second places, and 2 third places.
