On July 4, 2024, the Criminal Bureau announced the bust of the first 'EtizoMeth' e-cigarette cartridge distribution center arresting 4 suspects. According to SET News Network on July 4, 2024, at 5:50 in the morning, 11 Taiwanese fugitives involved in cybercrime in Bali, Indonesia, are scheduled to arrive in Taiwan tonight. Last month, Indonesian authorities arrested 102 Taiwanese individuals, including 11 fugitives, for cybercrime and immigration law violations. The Criminal Investigation Bureau, in cooperation with Indonesia, will bring back the fugitives via a China Airlines flight arriving at 9:15 PM tonight. The fugitives will then be transferred to Taichung District Prosecutors Office for further legal proceedings.
