Hanlai Hotel Group's first resort hotel, 'Hanlai Sun Moon Resort,' is set to open in the third quarter of 2024 at Sun Moon Lake, following the success of the Hanlai Hotel in Taipei's Nan-Gang district. On June 18, 2024, New Taipei City Council Speaker Jiang Gen-huang's son, Jiang Xin-zhang, was summoned by the prosecutor on suspicion of violating the election law and was ordered to post 1 million bail.
