Foreign investors, who flipped from selling over 16.8 billion yuan yesterday, made a strong comeback with a 32.3 billion yuan purchase today, fully buying back all the significant sales made on June 11. Self-employed businesses halted the ten-day selling streak by buying over 21.7 billion yuan of Taiwanese stocks today, while investment trusts continued to buy over 540 million yuan, resulting in a total of 34.635 billion yuan of Taiwanese stocks sold by the three major institutions. The Taiwan stock market opened at 22,217 points today, reaching a high of 22,440 points, and closed at 22,312 points, up by 263 points or 1.19%; TSMC rose by 13 yuan and closed at 919 yuan.
