On June 14, 2024, a man surnamed Zheng (50 years old) was found with a gasoline bottle in front of the Jiancheng Police Station, attempting to pour and ignite it. Fortunately, patrolling officers immediately noticed and subdued him to prevent potential danger. Aside from being charged with drunk driving according to the Road Traffic Management Regulations, Zheng is also being investigated for offenses related to public endangerment and obstructing official duties under the Penal Code. Following a disturbance at a metro station, where he was intoxicated and causing a scene, Zheng later returned to the police station on a motorcycle with a bottle of gasoline intending to cause trouble. Thanks to the vigilant officers, he was apprehended on the spot. The police advise the public to drink responsibly, contact family or friends for a safe ride home, and avoid dangerous actions under the influence of alcohol to prevent irreversible consequences.

A 50-year-old man in Taipei, surnamed Zheng, got into a dispute with another passenger on the MRT after drinking two big cups of beer and was taken to the police station for protection.
