Domestic egg consumption remains low, with origin prices in Taiwan dropping by 3 NT recently for the fifth time in two months. A family of four along with their daughter's boyfriend were trapped, with the father and daughter escaping through a window while the mother and son were found on the sixth floor. The daughter's boyfriend was tragically found crushed under collapsing metal sheeting on the seventh floor. Firefighters arrived to rescue trapped residents, but three individuals were found dead on different floors. Investigations are ongoing regarding the cause of the rapid spread of the fire. Death toll had risen to 3 in tragic incident.
