In Taoyuan City on June 10th, around 2 PM, a pile of gravel on the inner lane of the northbound 30.2 km section of Highway 61 caused a 44-year-old man named Lee to experience a tire blowout while driving a small truck, with the flying gravel also leading to a 61-year-old motorcyclist named Yang behind him crashing. Both parties were not driving under the influence, with the origin of the gravel still under police investigation. The accident resulted in Yang fracturing his limbs but with no life-threatening injuries after being sent to the hospital. Police are looking into the source of the gravel causing the accident.
